    Hi everyone!🤗 Bia here! How is your week going so far? Are your classes almost over? Are you working and counting the days until the 24th? Were you lucky to get your vaccation closer to Christmas and New Year's Eve, so you can enjoy the spirit a bit more?

    It's crazy to think that in only 14 days, we will finally be enjoying Christmas Eve! But until then, it's time to start thinking about some little gifts for the ones you love. How about something sweet and simple, that allows you to support some amazing local shops and small producers? There is a world of options out there, but we would like to bring you a suggestion from Portugal in case you happen to live here or to be around at this time of the year.

    Today, in case you are close to Porto, we advice you check Paupério shop. In case you haven't heard about Paupério, they have been around since 1874, the year when they created their factory in Valongo. The factory still stands in Valongo to this day and the brand is still managed by the family of one of the creators. In total, 6 generations have been responsible for this factory, so that the tradition and art of making delicious cookies and biscuits is never lost.

    I visited the closest store they have (in total there are 3 stores according to their website, being one of them next to the factory) in order to get something simple and yet delicious to offer on Christmas. The store is cozy, simple and absolutely beautiful. The lady working that shift was an absolute sweetheart by giving suggestions on how to build a nice Christmas theme box, with products that can work for the entire family. She was also very passionate while talking about the process of production, since everything is still made the old fashioned way (many pieces of equipment are still original and used to produce the cookies).

    She also suggested little postcards for each gift/person, since the store is actually offering them for anyone that shops there, so that you can write a sweet Christmas message to each one that is receiving a present. There are thoughtful gifts for all budgets! For example, I got a small bottle of "ginjinha" (a traditional cherry liqueur) along with chocolate cups to offer to André's parents and this was around 7 euros.

    So, if you have the chance, go to one of their stores to check their products and maybe scratch a name or two of the Christmas list. We will leave the link, so that you can check their website, since it is also possible to order their products in Portugal and Spain, but for some countries it might be available to order, it is a mather of checking 🤗.

    Olá a todos!🤗 Daqui é a Bia! Como está a correr a vossa semana até agora? As vossas aulas estão quase a terminar? Estão a trabalhar e a contar os dias até dia 24? Tiveram a sorte de ter as vossas férias mais perto do Natal e da véspera de Ano Novo ,para puderem aproveitar um pouco mais do espírito?

    É uma loucura pensar que em 14 dias estaremos finalmente a desfrutar da véspera de Natal! 🎄 Mas até lá, é tempo de começar a pensar em alguns pequenos presentes para aqueles que amamos. Que tal algo doce e simples, que vos permita apoiar algumas lojas locais fantásticas e pequenos produtores? Há um mundo de opções lá fora, mas gostaríamos de vos trazer uma sugestão de Portugal para o caso de viverem aqui ou de estarem por aqui nesta altura do ano 😊.

    Hoje, no caso de estarem no Porto, aconselhamos-vos a visitar a loja "Paupério". Caso não tenham ouvido falar da Paupério, eles existem desde 1874, o ano em que criaram a sua fábrica em Valongo. A fábrica ainda hoje se encontra em Valongo e a marca continua a ser gerida pela família de um dos criadores. No total, 6 gerações foram responsáveis por esta fábrica, de forma a que a tradição e arte de fazer biscoitos e bolachas deliciosas nunca se perca.

    Visitei a loja mais próxima que eles têm (no total há 3 lojas de acordo com o seu website, sendo uma delas ao lado da fábrica) de forma a obter algo simples e no entanto delicioso para oferecer no Natal. A loja é acolhedora, simples e absolutamente bela. A senhora que trabalha naquele turno foi uma absoluta querida ao dar sugestões sobre como construir uma bonita casa temática de Natal, com produtos que podem funcionar para toda a família. Ela também ficou muito entusiasmada enquanto falava sobre o processo de produção, uma vez que tudo ainda é feito à moda antiga 😊(muitas peças de equipamento ainda são originais e utilizadas para produzir os biscoitos).

    Ela também sugeriu pequenos postais para cada presente/pessoa, uma vez que a loja está a oferecê-los a qualquer pessoa que lá compre, para que possa escrever uma doce mensagem de Natal a cada um que esteja a receber um presente. Há presentes atenciosos para todos os orçamentos! Por exemplo, eu arranjei uma pequena garrafa de ginjinha (um licor de cereja tradicional), juntamente com chávenas de chocolate para oferecer aos pais do André e isto foi cerca de 7€.
