Santos Populares Book Tag

June is one of our favourite months of the year. Between street parties, music, grilled sardines, basil plants and colourful decorations, the Santos Populares are one of Portugal's most beloved traditions.
Since we love books almost as much as we love our summer celebrations in Portugal, we thought it would be fun to transform this celebration into a book tag.
Here are our answers!

A book you devoured without being able to stop.
This was one of those books that left us saying "just one more chapter" at two in the morning. The tension constantly builds up and it's practically impossible to put it down.

A book that left you with a warm and comforted heart.
Because studying in Paris, falling in love, and living a lovely story seems to us exactly the literary equivalent of the aroma of basil on a summer night.
🎶 A book that stuck in your head like a country song
That book you still think about weeks or months after you finished it.
Months after finishing it, we still think about Poppy and Alex. Clearly, they're living rent-free in our minds.
🎆 A book that made you say "Wow!" like a firework!
The book with the biggest plot twist or revelation.
The final revelation left us completely speechless and desperate to continue the saga.

A book that genuinely made you happy.
Hogwarts will always be a happy place for us. There’s something magical about this book that makes us smile every time we return to it.

slowly but ended like a blazing bonfire
A book whose ending completely elevated the story.
We enjoyed the beginning, but it was the ending that completely won us over. Every revelation increased the tension, and suddenly we just couldn't stop reading.

We refuse to choose just one couple 😭. All of them made us laugh, cry, and become emotionally invested far more than is probably healthy.

Aaron Blackford completely won us over. Between the teasing, the romantic tension, and the sweetest moments, we finished this book with the biggest smile on our faces.

Este foi daqueles livros que nos deixou a dizer "só mais um capítulo" às duas da manhã. A tensão aumenta constantemente e é praticamente impossível pousá-lo.

Um livro que te deixou de coração quentinho e reconfortado.
Porque estudar em Paris, apaixonar-nos e viver uma história adorável parece-nos exatamente o equivalente literário ao aroma de um manjerico numa noite de verão.

Gostámos do início, mas foi o final que nos conquistou completamente. Cada revelação aumentava a tensão e de repente já não conseguíamos parar de ler.

Recusamo-nos a escolher apenas um casal 😭. Todos eles nos fizeram rir, sofrer e investir emocionalmente muito mais do que seria saudável.
