A little weekend reset ☀️📚

Some weekends are for getting things done. This one was very much for slowing down.

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! 🤗 We just dropped by to give you a little update on our weekend!

We started it by finally finishing The Love Hypothesis, which was honestly such a lovely read. We absolutely loved it, and our full review will be coming later this week… Although we have just started working on it today, because, for once, we decided to properly switch off and enjoy the weekend.

We also started two new reads: The Last Sunrise by Anna Todd and The Mistake by Elle Kennedy. So far, we’re enjoying both! There is something particularly nice about starting two books when you aren’t rushing. Just reading whenever you feel like it and letting yourself settle into the words.

We even made a little Pa Amb Oli, inspired by Mallorca and, naturally, by The Last Sunrise. It felt like the perfect thing to have alongside our reading session. We had originally planned to make piña coladas too, but then we received an unexpected invitation and that completely changed our plans. In the best way possible 😎.

And speaking on unexpected things… Anna Todd actually saw our story with her book and liked and shared it! We are fangirling a bit to hard 🥰. We genuinely weren’t expecting it, and we’re still a bit in disbelief that she even noticed us 💕.

The rest of the weekend was just as simple and perfect to recharge a bit. We took Alana for a long walk in the park Sunday morning, spent the afternoon swimming with friends at the pool (we even convinced one of our friends to pick a book we recommended 🤗📖), had dinner together and somehow, still managed to squeeze in a little more reading.

Nothing particularly extraordinary. Just some books, sunshine, good food, friends and Alana. Honestly? Exactly the kind of weekend we needed.

Alguns fins de semana são para pôr tudo em dia. Este foi definitivamente para abrandar o ritmo.

Olá a todos! Feliz segunda-feira! 🤗 Passámos por aqui para vos dar uma pequena atualização sobre o nosso fim de semana!

Começámos por finalmente terminar A Hipótese do Amor, que foi sinceramente uma leitura maravilhosa. Adorámos completamente e a nossa review completa vai chegar ainda esta semana… Embora só tenhamos começado a trabalhar nela hoje, porque, desta vez, decidimos mesmo desligar e aproveitar o fim de semana.

Também começámos duas novas leituras: O Último Nascer do Sol, da Anna Todd, e O Erro, da Elle Kennedy. Até agora, estamos a gostar bastante de ambas! Há algo particularmente agradável em começar dois livros quando não estamos com pressa. Ler simplesmente quando nos apetece e deixar-nos envolver pelas palavras.

Também fizemos um pequeno Pa Amb Oli, inspirado em Maiorca e, naturalmente, em O Último Nascer do Sol. Pareceu-nos a coisa perfeita para acompanhar a nossa sessão de leitura. Inicialmente, também tínhamos planeado fazer piña coladas, mas depois recebemos um convite inesperado e isso mudou completamente os nossos planos. Da melhor forma possível 😎.

E por falar em coisas inesperadas… a própria Anna Todd viu o nosso story com o livro dela e ainda lhe deu like e partilhou! Estamos um bocadinho entusiasmados demais 🥰. Sinceramente, não estávamos nada à espera e ainda estamos um pouco incrédulos por ela sequer ter reparado em nós 💕.

O resto do fim de semana foi igualmente simples e perfeito para recarregar baterias. No domingo de manhã, levámos a Alana a dar um passeio pelo parque, passámos a tarde a nadar com amigos na piscina (até conseguimos convencer um dos nossos amigos a escolher um livro que lhe recomendámos 🤗📖), jantámos juntos e, de alguma forma, ainda conseguimos arranjar tempo para ler mais um bocadinho.

Nada de particularmente extraordinário. Apenas alguns livros, sol, boa comida, amigos e a Alana. Sinceramente? Exatamente o tipo de fim de semana de que precisávamos.
