One Last Day of Vacation ☀️📚

Well… this is it. Today is our last day of vacation, and tomorrow it’s back to work. 🫠

We decided not to do anything complicated with our last few hours. We just wanted to enjoy the sun, read a little and have something cold to drink while we still could.

So we grabbed our books, made ourselves some homemade “mojitos” (mocktails, obviously 😂) and spent a few quiet hours doing exactly what we wanted.

André  was reading The Mistake by Elle Kennedy and I've just started Verity by Colleen Hoover, while we enjoyed the sunshine and tried very hard not to think about tomorrow.

There’s something a little bittersweet about the last day of vacation. You’re still enjoying yourself, but somewhere in the back of your mind you know the alarm is coming. 😂

Still, we’re trying to focus on the good part: we had time to rest, read, spend time together and enjoy some slower days.

And if this was our last little summer moment before going back to reality… we’re pretty happy with how we spent it. ☀️📚🍹

Tomorrow can wait.

Bem… é isto. Hoje é o nosso último dia de férias e amanhã estamos de volta ao trabalho. 🫠

Decidimos não fazer nada de complicado nestas últimas horas. Só queríamos aproveitar o sol, ler um bocadinho e beber qualquer coisa fresca enquanto ainda podíamos.

Por isso, pegámos nos nossos livros, preparámos uns “mojitos” caseiros (mocktails, obviamente 😂) e passámos umas horas tranquilas a fazer exatamente aquilo que nos apetecia.

O André estava a ler O Erro da Elle Kennedy, e eu comecei agora Verity da Colleen Hoover, enquanto aproveitávamos o sol e tentávamos, com todas as forças, não pensar no dia de amanhã.

Há qualquer coisa de agridoce no último dia de férias. Ainda estás a aproveitar, mas algures no fundo da tua cabeça sabes que o despertador está a chegar. 😂

Ainda assim, estamos a tentar focar-nos na parte boa: tivemos tempo para descansar, ler, estar juntos e aproveitar uns dias mais tranquilos.

E se este foi o nosso último pequeno momento de verão antes de voltarmos à realidade… estamos bastante felizes com a forma como o passámos. ☀️📚🍹

O amanhã pode esperar.
