September TBR: A fresh start… hopefully

After August’s slightly chaotic reading plans, we’re approaching September with a little more humility. 🙂

Our August TBR was… ambitious. Very ambitious!

So for September, we’re trying not to get carried away. There are a few books we’re particularly excited about, but we’re also carrying one unfinished book from August into the new month: The Mistake by Elle Kennedy.

We’re still very much at the beginning, but we’re enjoying it so far. Logan is already proving to be a bit of a disaster in the most entertaining way possible, and we’re curious to see where this story takes us.

So, naturally, finishing this one is our first priority.

After that, we have a few books we’d really like to pick up.

 

     📖 Beach Read by Emily Henry

We’ve been meaning to read this one for a while, and somehow, summer managed to come and almost completely disappear before we even started it.

We’re hoping September will finally be its moment.

Even though we’re technically leaving summer behind, we’re not quite ready to let those warm, romantic vibes go yet.

 

     💀 Verity by Colleen Hoover

This one has been sitting on our shelves for a while, and we’re finally feeling like it’s time with the movie premiering so soon.

It’s definitely a different mood from our more summery reads, but September feels like the perfect month to start moving towards darker and more atmospheric stories.

 

     🔥 Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

And then there is the third book in the Throne of Glass series.

We want to read it.
We’re excited to read it.
But we’re also trying to be realistic about it.

After the journey we’ve been having with The Hunger Games series, we are aware we might need a little breathing room before diving back into this intense universe.

So we’re keeping it on the TBR… but without putting too much pressure on ourselves.

 

One book we’re officially putting aside for now is Off to the Races by Elsie Silver.

It’s still very much a book we want to read, but we’re decided to save it for spring, when it feels like it will fit our reading mood much better.

 

So, we’re going into September with fewer promises and a little more flexibility.

Because if August taught us anything, it’s that the best reading plans are the ones that can change.

 

Now… let’s see how long this TBR survives. 😂📚

Depois dos planos de leitura um pouco caóticos de agosto, estamos a entrar em setembro com um pouco mais de humildade. 🙂

A nossa TBR de agosto foi… ambiciosa. Muito ambiciosa!

Por isso, em setembro, estamos a tentar não nos entusiasmar demasiado. Há alguns livros que nos deixam particularmente entusiasmados, mas também estamos a levar um livro inacabado de agosto para o novo mês: O Erro, da Elle Kennedy.

Ainda estamos muito no início, mas estamos a gostar bastante até agora. O Logan já está a revelar-se uma espécie de desastre, da forma mais divertida possível, e estamos curiosos para descobrir onde é que esta história nos vai levar.

Por isso, naturalmente, terminar este livro é a nossa primeira prioridade.

Depois disso, temos alguns livros que gostaríamos mesmo de começar.

 

     📖 Romance de Verão, da Emily Henry

Já andamos a querer ler este há algum tempo e, de alguma forma, o verão conseguiu chegar e quase desaparecer por completo antes de sequer lhe pegarmos.

Esperamos que setembro seja finalmente o seu momento.

Apesar de estarmos, tecnicamente, a deixar o verão para trás, ainda não estamos completamente preparados para dizer adeus àquelas vibes quentes e românticas.

 

     💀 Verity, da Colleen Hoover

Este está na nossa estante há algum tempo e finalmente sentimos que chegou a altura de o ler, especialmente com a estreia do filme a aproximar-se tanto.

É definitivamente uma vibe diferente das nossas leituras mais de verão, mas setembro parece-nos o mês perfeito para começarmos a avançar para histórias mais sombrias e atmosféricas.

 

     🔥 Herdeira do Fogo, da Sarah J. Maas

E depois temos o terceiro livro da série Throne of Glass.

Nós queremos lê-lo.

Estamos entusiasmados por lê-lo.

Mas também estamos a tentar ser realistas.

Depois da jornada que temos tido com a série The Hunger Games, temos consciência de que talvez precisemos de um bocadinho de espaço antes de mergulharmos novamente neste universo tão intenso.

Por isso, vamos mantê-lo na TBR… mas sem colocarmos demasiada pressão sobre nós próprios.

 

Um livro que estamos oficialmente a deixar de lado por enquanto é Off to the Races, da Elsie Silver.

Continua a ser um livro que queremos muito ler, mas decidimos guardá-lo para a primavera, quando sentimos que vai combinar muito melhor com o nosso mood de leitura.

 

Por isso, estamos a entrar em setembro com menos promessas e um pouco mais de flexibilidade.

Porque, se agosto nos ensinou alguma coisa, é que os melhores planos de leitura são aqueles que podem mudar.

Agora… vamos ver quanto tempo esta TBR sobrevive. 😂📚
