Autumn Horror Watchlist: 5 Films We Want to Watch Before Halloween
(English)
Hello dear readers! 😊 How is the spooky month treating you? The past weekend was kind of chaotic to us and we really missed just relaxing and watching a movie with some popcorns by our side... Oh well! No point sulking about it! Instead, we started the morning by preparing a list of movies that we want to... no... not want! WE MUST WATCH before Halloween! 🎃
October is the perfect month to turn off the lights, grab a blanket, make a hot drink, have a bucket of popcorn by your side and watch something a little unsettling. And since we're trying to make the most of spooky season, we put together a small autumn horror watchlist!
These are five films we still want to watch before the end of October. From psychological horror to creepy atmospheres this list has a little bit of everything we're in the mood for.
This psychological horror movie has been on our list for a couple of months! We stumble upon it on pinterest and we're very intrigued. With an unsettling atmosphere and plenty of mystery to through into the mix, this is one we're especially curious about.
Set in post-First World War England, this supernatural mystery follows a writer who investigates an alleged haunting at a boarding school. Although skeptical at first, things seem to take a very weird and scary turn. The historical setting and ghostly premise make it sound like a perfect autumn watch, specially for fans of movies such as The Conjuring.
🖤 The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015)
A dark, atmospheric pshycological horror film centred on two girls left behind at a boarding school during the winter break. It sounds like the kind of slow-burning, unsettling story that fits perfectly with the darker evenings of October.
A mysterious invitation, an unfamiliar setting and the feeling that something isn't quite right from the first seconds of the trailer. We're going into this one curious to see where the story takes us and hoping for plenty of suspense along the way. But truth be told, this seems the most brutal of all of our pick!
A remote lodge, a winter storm and an increasingly disturbing situation involving the only survivor of a suicidal cult. This one sounds like a particularly tense watch, perfect for a chilly evening when we're in the mood for something bleak and unsettling.
🎃 Will We Watch Them All Before Halloween?
That's the plan! Whether we manage to watch all five or end up carrying a few into November, we wanted to make a little space for horror movies this month.
Now we want to hear from you!
Which one should we watch first? And if you've seen any of these films, we'd love to know what you thought spoiler-free, please! 👀
Happy spooky season! 🖤
🖤 The Blackcoat's Daughter (2015)
Vamos entrar neste
todos antes do Halloween?
Agora queremos saber a vossa opinião!
Qual devemos ver primeiro?
Feliz spooky season! 🖤
