September Wrap Up

(English)

Hello everyone! πŸ€— Happy Monday! How are you doing? In Portugal, it's currently a holiday, so we are enjoying some quite time at home with Alana. πŸ₯°

So... September was a bit of a transition month for us in terms of reading, you know? Somewhere between the last days of summer and the first real autumn vibes. And honestly? We had a lot of fun with our books.

In total, we finished two books this month, and they couldn't have been more different from each other: The Mistake and Verity.

πŸ’ The Mistake by Elle Kennedy

We actually started The Mistake back in August, although we had only read a handful of chapters before the month ended, so we're counting it as one of our September reads.

It was a fun way to ease ourselves into the month and definitely brought some of those lighter, more summery reading vibes with it. It was also nice to finally pick it back up after leaving it sitting on our TBR for a little while.

Review coming soon!

    πŸ–€ Verity by Colleen Hoover

And then there was Verity.

Very different from The Mistake, to say the least. πŸ˜‚

This was probably the book that dominated our reading conversations in September. It was fast-paced, addictive and incredibly easy to fly through, but it also gave us A LOT to think about.

We constantly found ourselves questioning who we could trust, what was actually true and what was being manipulated. By the end, we had questions, theories and absolutely no idea who we were supposed to believe.

We gave it 5/5 ⭐️, and we're definitely not done talking about it yet, especially because we still have the extra chapter to read!

πŸ‚ What we started in September and are taking into October

September also ended with two books currently in progress: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and Beach Read by Emily Henry.

So, naturally, both of those are coming with us into October. πŸ˜‚

We're expecting October to be a little more autumnal, especially after September's mix of summer reading, thrillers and romance. We are hoping to include at least one thriller.

Overall, September was a really fun reading month. Only two finished books, but two very different experiences for sure!

Now we're ready for October, spooky season and whatever our TBR decides to throw at us next. πŸŽƒπŸ“š

What did you read in September? And what are you taking into October?

(PortuguΓͺs)
