🎄 Decorating for Christmas 🎄

    It's nearly Christmas! It feels like 2023 has flown by. Seems just like a couple of weeks ago was Summer and that we could leave the house in shorts and enjoy the sunset right after dinner. However, Autumn has set in and the cold is becoming more and more agressive, warning us of what lies ahead. We couldn't resist getting the Christmas decorations up early this year and had the tree ready before December 🤗.

    You just can't help but love this time of year! The atmosphere of anticipation is the best part, don't you think? Having a full house and sharing special moments with our families and friends. Feeling that excitement and anticipation for dinner to arrive with the delicious Christmas Eve food and those marvellous sweets that only mothers and grandmothers seem to know how to make 😋. Every year we take care to make the space cosy, so that the magic of these moments can last. Who doesn't love having the tree glowing at night when they're watching a film on the sofa? And lighting those beautiful candles while eating a typical Christmas sweet? ✨

    We don't know about you, but decorating the Christmas tree makes us feel like children again. It seems like anything can happen and that this Christmas is going to be the most special ever! We may have the same traditions and the same people, but we feel in the depths of our heart that it's going to be different!

   Before Christmas we also have the arrival of Winter. Longer nights, colder days... But Winter has its own special charm, if you think about it. It's cold outside, but the air is so pure and clean that it's nice to go for a walk when you're wearing your warm clothes. And the contrast with our homes is amazing! The street is pale and cold, having lost most of its flowers and leaves, but when we enter the house, the fireplace has a different cosiness and that mug of hot chocolate tastes a thousand times better! And however ephemeral it may be, we can always count on the Christmas lights that sprinkle city centres and small markets. The shortness of the moment makes it all the more special. We'll only be able to experience similar sensations again next year, and who knows who we'll be at that time, who we'll be with or whether we'll have moved cities or even countries? Each moment is unique and unrepeatable ❤️. 

    This year, we decided to create more memories. Whether it's Christmas or the winter that continues when the celebrations come to an end. So never forget to live each of these moments with joy and give them the value they deserve. Create traditions and rituals on your own and with your families, no matter how many people are there. Each memory is precious, both individually and with other people.

    Estamos quase no Natal! Parece que 2023 passou a correr. Parece que ainda há umas semanas era verão e que podíamos sair de casa de calções e desfrutar do pôr do sol bem após o jantar. Ainda assim, o outono instalou-se e o frio tem começado a ser cada vez mais agressivo, avisando-nos do que se avizinha. Não conseguimos resistir e fomos buscar as decorações de Natal mais cedo este ano e deixamos a árvore pronta antes de dezembro 🤗.

    Não há como não adorar esta altura do ano! O clima de antecipação é a melhor parte, não acham? Ter a casa cheia e partilhar momentos especiais com as nossas famílias e amigos. Sentir aquela euforia e ansiedade para que chegue o jantar com a comida deliciosa da Consoada e aqueles doces maravilhosos que parece que só as mães e avós sabem fazer 😋. Todos os anos temos o cuidado de tornar o espaço acolhedor para poder perdurar a magia destes momentos. Quem não adora ter a árvore a reluzir à noite quando vê um filme no sofá? E acender aquelas velas lindas enquanto come um docinho típico de Natal? ✨

    Não sabemos quanto a vocês, mas a nós decorar a árvore de Natal faz-nos sentir que somos novamente crianças. Parece que tudo pode acontecer e que aquele Natal vai ser o mais especial de todos! Até pode ter as mesmas tradições e as mesmas pessoas, mas sentimos no nosso mais profundo ser que aquele vai ser diferente!

    Antes do Natal também temos a chegada do inverno. As noites mais longas, os dias mais frios... Porém, o inverno tem o seu encanto especial, se pensarmos bem. Lá fora está frio, mas sente-se o ar tão puro e limpo que sabe bem dar uma caminhada quando estamos com a nossa roupa mais quentinha. E o contraste com as nossas casas é espantoso! A rua é pálida e fria, tendo perdido a maior parte das suas flores e folhas, mas quando entramos em casa, a lareira tem outro aconchego e aquela caneca de chocolate quente sabe mil vezes melhor! E por mais efémero que seja, podemos sempre contar com as luzes de Natal que polvilham os centros das cidades e os pequenos mercados. A limitação de tempo do momento torna-o mais especial. Só poderemos voltar ter sensações semelhantes no próximo ano e quem sabe quem seremos nesta altura e com quem estaremos ou se teremos mudado de cidade ou mesmo de país? Cada momento é único e irrepetível ❤️. 

    Este ano, resolvemos criar mais memórias. Seja no Natal, seja no inverno, que continua quando as celebrações chegam ao fim. Por isso, nunca se esqueçam de viver cada um destes momentos com alegria e dando-lhes o valor que eles merecem. Criem tradições e rituais sozinhos e com as vossas famílias, não interessa quantos são mesmo. Cada memória é preciosa seja individual, seja com outras pessoas.
