🌟 Book Review: A Court of Wings and Ruin 🌟

    Following the events that ended A Court of Mist and Fury, Tamlin has no idea that he is harbouring the High Lady of the Night Court in his court. Feyre has returned to the Spring Court to gather information about Tamlin's actions and his connection to the King of Hybern, who threatens to destroy the world as they know it.

    Tamlin and Ianthe see their positions devalued when the Spring Court shows their adoration and love for Feyre for breaking the curse that has plagued them. Her sweet and gentle manner charms everyone, but puts her in danger in the face of Tamlin's wrath.

    Feyre is determined to help Rhys and protect her family and friends, even if it means risking her own life. The forced transformation of her sisters at the hands of the priestess Ianthe is also one of her greatest motivations for destroying those who have allied themselves with Hybern. Her newfound powers could be her salvation, making her more powerful than she ever thought possible, or a death sentence.

    War is imminent, and very soon each court will have to decide where its allegiance lies.

    And with this spoiler-free mini review, we conclude our analysis of the first trilogy. We loved this read and we are now fans of Sarah J. Maas' writing. In our opinion, the book stands out for having more action in the initial conflict and then levelling off until the battle between the courts and Hybern. Even so, the characters are captivating and the conflicts between them and with their own emotions and relationships move the narrative along without leaving us bored. This was an incredible conclusion to the first three books! There's still a sequel, of course, with A Court of Silver Flames, but we're not planning to pick that up just yet, so we'll just have to read the story of A Court of Frost and Starlight. It's been incredible for us to read about this universe over the last year. As cliché as it may sound, you really get used to the characters in these books as if they were your own group of friends. In our humble opinion, the books are very worthwhile, especially if you're trying to build up a reading habit and read a bit more, as the story will hold your attention from start to finish. So the book A Court of Wings and Ruin gets a 4.5🌟 from us.

    Continuando os eventos em que terminamos Corte de Névoa e Fúria, Tamlin não faz ideia de que alberga na sua corte a Grande Senhora da Corte da Noite. Feyre regressou à Corte da Primavera com o objetivo de recolher informações sobre as ações de Tamlin e a sua ligação com o Rei de Hybern que ameaça destruir o mundo como o conhecem.

    Tamlin e Ianthe vêm as suas posições a serem desvalorizadas quando a Corte de Primavera demonstra a veneração e amor que possuem por Feyre por ter quebrado a maldição que os assolou. A sua postura doce e gentil consegue encantar todos, mas coloca-a em perigo perante a ira de Tamlin.

    Feyre está determinada a ajudar Rhys e a proteger a sua família e amigos, nem que para isso precise de arriscar a própria vida. A transformação forçada das suas irmãs devido a um esquema da sacerdotisa Ianthe é também uma das suas maiores motivações para destruir aqueles que se aliaram a Hybern. Os seus poderes recentemente descobertos, podem ser a sua salvação e torná-la mais poderosa do que alguma vez julgou ser possível, mas podem ser também uma sentença de morte.

    A guerra está iminente e muito em breve, cada Corte terá de decidir a quem é leal.

    E com esta mini review sem spoilers, concluímos a nossa análise da trilogia inicial. Adoramos esta leitura e ficamos mesmo fãs da Sarah J. Maas. Na nossa opinião, o livro destaca-se por ter mais ação no conflito inicial e depois é bastante nivelado até à batalha entre as cortes e Hybern. Ainda assim as personagens são cativantes e os conflitos entre elas e com as suas próprias emoções e relações, movem muito a narrativa sem nos deixar aborrecidos. Esta foi uma conclusão incrível para os 3 primeiros livros! Claro que existe ainda a continuação com Corte de Chamas Prateadas, mas neste momento não estamos a planear pegar já nesse livro, pelo que nos falta só ler a história de Corte de Gelo e Estrelas. Para nós, foi incrível ler sobre este universo no último ano. Por muito cliché que possa soar, realmente habituamo-nos às personagens destes livros como se fossem o nosso grupo de amigos. Na nossa humilde opinião, os livros valem muito a pena, principalmente se estiverem a tentar criar hábitos de leitura e ler um pouco mais, porque a história vai prender a vossa atenção do início ao fim. Sendo assim, o livro Corte de Asas e Ruína recebe de nós 4.5🌟.
