📚 Books to get you out of a reading slump 📚

    Hi everyone! Let's be honest, okay? How many times have we gone weeks without reading because we're simply not interested in what we're reading or we've just read something and now we don't know which book to pick up? It happens here all the time!🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️ We usually stop the book we're reading and don't touch it for weeks. Often it's just laziness and as we're not yet at the intriguing part of the story, we put it off and put it off. 

    To help with the discouragement and to share our wise knowledge 😅, we're going to leave you with recommendations for books that are easy to read and that intrigued us so much that we think they'll be perfect for making you want to read more.

    📚 Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - there's a reason this book and the rest of the trilogy are so popular all over the online book communities. They're quick, cute and addictive reads. The protagonist of the first book is Anna Oliphant, a young American girl who is "shipped off" by her father to study at a school in Paris. There she meets Étienne St. Clair, a nice boy who, according to Anna, is very attractive. Anna and St Clair become close friends over the course of the year and the tension between them is palpable. However, St Clair has a girlfriend! Anna has to decide whether or not to confess her feelings and what the consequences of her actions will be.

     📚 The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton - in this story, our protagonist's name is initially unknown. We're immediately sucked into the action when a man wakes up in the middle of the forest with a woman's name in his mind, when the sound of a gunshot silences a woman's scream. Our protagonist will wake up in a different body every day, and he will have to find out who killed Evelyn Hardcastle to escape this cycle. The story is complex, but extremely addictive and you won't be able to stop! We're still writing the review and hope to publish our opinion in October!

       📚 Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid - this is one of our favorites of the year! The story is told in the format of interviews with the band members and other people close to them sharing everything that happened from their rise to the group's abrupt demise. It all revolves around Daisy Jones, a talented and charismatic young woman, and the band The Six, led by Billy Dunne. Together, they achieve stardom, but face many personal and professional challenges along the way at a time when the motto was sex, drugs and rock & roll! Our review will be on the blog soon, so stay tuned!

     📚 Marrow by Tarry Fisher - in this psychological thriller, Margo is a young girl trapped in a destroyed house with a mother who treats her horribly. Margo is closed off and doesn't have many friends, until the day she meets Judah, her neighbour, and the two become close. Despite all the horrors she has witnessed, one day Margo can't stand it and interferes when she sees a child being beaten. This gives her a taste for revenge against those who harm the most innocent and defenceless.

    What do you think of our recommendations? We have many more books that motivated us to read a little more each day, but we didn't want the post to be too heavy🤭, so we chose a few titles. Quantas vezes já estivemos semanas sem ler, porque simplesmente não estamos a ter interesse no que estamos a ler ou acabamos de ler algo e agora não sabemos em que livro pegar? Apesar de todos os horrores que já presenciou, um dia Margo não aguenta passivamente e interfere quando vê uma criança ser espancada. Isto cria um gosto nela por vingança contra aqueles que façam mal aos mais inocentes e indefesos.
